Welcome to The Ship Inn

Situated on the banks of Yorkshire’s longest river The Ouse in the rural village of Swinefleet, the inn caters for both young and old. Staff pride themselves on the warmth of the welcome extended to one and all and a truly friendly atmosphere is actively encouraged. The history of the village is shown in a series of aerial photographs which show how it has changed over the years, and a fantastic array of bric-a-brac adorn every corner.

Products sold are primarily from the John Smiths/Courage stable with John Smiths Smooth and Fosters popular sellers. The range also includes Theakstons and a weekly guest ale for the bitter drinkers, whilst Kronenberg and Miller offer a different choice for the lager aficionados. Guinness is the licensees pride and joy and has a reputation here that stretches all the way back to Dublin.

Although not primarily a food venue, the pub does boast a fully equipped catering kitchen and a beautiful function room full of cinema memorabilia. The function room is available for free hire and can accommodate up to 80 people with access to the riverside garden; an ideal wedding venue. The garden looks out on to the River Ouse and contains children’s play equipment. On a warm summers night there is no better place to enjoy a glass of cool Strongbow cider! Ample parking lies next to the pub garden.
